This book contains notes and practice questions on mathematical methods across the Number, Measurement, Algebra and Geometry strands which comprise **1.2 Mathematical Methods**. Assessments for this standard are unlikely to be able to incorporate all the possible methods that are part of this standard but must enable the candidate to demonstrate their skills across multiple strands of mathematics. Students are able to and encouraged to use a calculator in their learning and assessment for this standard.

In this workbook students will find **clear explanations** and **detailed worked examples** showing the step-by-step processes that will be needed to solve each type of problem, these are followed by a large number of practice **exercises **and** problems **of increasing difficulty. At the end of the workbook there is are **Practice Investigations**. Candidates should use this to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses before the internal assessment.

A full set of **answers** is included, which acts as a guide to structuring quality answers. An abbreviated version of the Achievement Criteria and Explanatory Notes of the Achievement Standard itself complete the resource.

Once completed, **'AS 1.2 Maths Methods' **provides a useful set of revision notes at assessment time. It can be kept as a reference book if students intend taking a Year 12 mathematics course.
